I had the privilege of meeting Ray Mancini at Muhammad Ali’s birthday party and have just learned that Mancini’s biography has been released. The Good Son takes an in-depth look at the man, son, father and fighter who was the World Boxing Association lightweight champion from 1982 and 1984. His fighting style was so intense “Boom Boom” was someone to watch in the ring back in the day. Check out Thomas Gerbasi’s review of The Good Son at BoxingScene.com. Winners & Losers gets a nice mention in the article as one of Gerbasi’s top books to read this Fall.
